Mischa Barton

Barton is an British American actress, performs on television, film and the theatre. At the Lincoln Center in New York City She made her first appearance in the theater with Tony Kushner's Slavs! as well as portrayed the role of a lead character in James Lapine's Twelve Dreams. Her first acting experience was her appearance as a cameo for All My Children. In the Nickelodeon cartoon series KaBlam!, she also played the role of a character. from 1996 until 1997. From 1996 to 1997, she acted as the lead from 1996 to 1997 in the dramatic Lawn Dogs (1997) alongside Sam Rockwell, marking her debut performance as an actor. The films she has starred in are M. Night Shyamalan's Psychological thriller The Sixth Sense (1998) as well as the romantic comedy Notting Hill (1998). In 1999, she made an appearance in Pups which was an independent crime-drama. Barton played Evan Rachel Wood's lover in the ABC series Once and Again in 2001 and was also in the independently-produced series Lost and Delirious in 2001. In her performance as Marissa Cooper on the Fox TV show The O.C. in 2003-2006, she received two Teen Choice Awards. Barton was rated the "It Girl of 2003" by Entertainment Weekly because she played the role. Barton was a part of the cast since 2003 in the comedy St Trinian's, the drama Closing the Ring directed by Richard Attenborough and the drama Closing the Ring.
