Kellie martin is an American film, television and stage actress. Her most famous roles include Christy Huddleston (Christy) as part of the period show Christy", Rebecca Thatcher (Life Goes On) in Life Goes On; and Lucy Knight ("ER") in the medical drama ER". Her other notable roles include her title character in her role in the Hailey Dean Mystery series. Martin was born to an employee of a department store and the kindergarten teacher. She began acting in the age of seven when her aunt, who was an nanny for Michael Landon's family, helped Martin get a part as an actor on the 1982 television series Father Murphy. Her professional career began when she graduated from Yale University. This led to her being offered major part-time roles in the TV and film industry. Besides being an actress, Martin is also a talented photographer and dancer. As a mother to two kids, she has become the National spokesperson for Lupus. She has also been spreading the word about this disease ever since her younger sister passed away in the age of 19.
